Belton House

Description

Wedding Mall offers this stunning venue for you to consider for your wedding day.
Belton House set in the heart of Lincolnshire

Venue type: Country House
Description: This magnificent Restoration period (1685-88) house provides a majestic setting for your memorable occasion. Belton greets the visitor as a magisterial presence, embodying on the outside everything that is expected of a country house, beauty of line and symmetry, sobriety of tone and colour, the reassurance of timeless tranquillity. Internally a greater diversity is apparent. Opulence pervades the restraint encountered outside. Richness glitters in silver gilt sconces, giltwood pier glasses and monstrous marble topped tables. Wedding ceremonies take place in the: Marble Hall - the grand entrance hall, reserved for only the most honoured guests in times gone by, has grained oak wood panelling and a black and white squared marble floor. The walls feature limewood carvings and family portraits. Tapestry Room - a more intimate room, the centrepiece being the Wyatville fireplace, surrounded by tapestries dating from the early eighteenth century, this room also features the Bluthner boudoir grand piano. Following the ceremony wedding parties may then move through the Saloon into the beautiful formal gardens for photographs and a champagne toast on the north terrace.
