Description: Known locally as the 'Botanics' and established way back in 1670, Scotland's Premier Garden is one of the UK's favourite attractions welcoming over 660,000 visitors each year. Originally founded as a physic garden in Holyrood, the Garden moved to Leith and finally, settled and expanded in Inverleith in 1820.
With the Caledonian Hall is in a magnificent setting for Weddings and Ceremonies. The Caledonian Hall can accommodate dinners for up to 90 guests or 120 for a Ceremony and Drinks Reception.
The newly refurbished Terrace Cafe, located high up by the Inverleith Lawn, allows for a quite evening event & has its own private terrace with breathtaking views across the city centre. The Terrace Cafe can accommodate up to 80 for an indoor event or 100 for a Summer BBQ or Drinks Reception.

Directions by public transport: There are regular public bus services (Lothian Buses 8, 17, 23 or 27) to the East Gate on Inverleith Row. These buses also stop beside 20A Inverleith Row, the site of the Library, Herbarium, Laboratory and Administration buildings, as well as the Lecture Theatre and Meeting Rooms.
The nearest rail station is Edinburgh Waverley, which is only 1.5 miles away and is connected to the Garden by buses 8 and 17 (above).
Edinburgh Airport is 8 miles from the Garden. A frequent shuttle bus runs to and from the airport to the city centre.
Directions by car: The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh situated is off the A902, one mile north of the city centre, with entrances on Inverleith Row (East Gate) and Inverleith Place (North Gate).
